This course is designed for all safety representatives and union representatives, health and safety officers and committee members. It is a good starting course to highlight health and safety management with the main message of communicating and building the right culture.
Objectives
By the end of the course delegates will be able to:
- Understand the key pieces of legislation governing safety committees, the duties to consult and the role of the safety representatives
- Understand how other activities and areas of health and safety link into the safety representative role
- Create an awareness and understanding of the functions and duties of the safety representatives role
- Establish the role of the health and safety committee
- Understand and be able to perform the functions of a safety representative
